Overview

One Further is a digital consultancy that works with leading cultural institutions in the UK and abroad. Our specialisms include website analytics, content strategy, and digital strategy.

We’re looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Content Analyst to join our team for a 12-month maternity leave cover role. You’ll get apply your knowledge and skills to a range of mission-driven clients, helping them to understand how to create more visible, effective, and impactful content on their websites and social media.

You will be proficient in both SEO and usability research and are likely to be stronger in one discipline or the other (we don’t mind which). This role might also suit someone looking to broaden their skillset.

You’ll mostly work with clients in the arts and cultural sector so interest/experience in these or related areas would be a bonus (although it’s definitely not the first thing we’re looking for).

In return, we'll give you the support you need to develop your skills and experience. You’ll get to join a growing business, make a tangible impact, and we’ll do our best to make sure you have a good time doing it. Find out more about working at One Further.

Responsibilities

You will be involved in delivering projects that will require you to:

  • Carry out content audits to assess quality, relevance, and performance.

  • Design and execute usability tests (using a variety of moderated and unmoderated methods) to evaluate user experience and identify areas for improvement.

  • Carry out SEO audits covering technical, on-page, and off-page factors, with a particular emphasis on uncovering opportunities through keyword and topic research.

  • Monitor and report on performance over time, benchmarking performance against previous results and sector intelligence.

  • Talk directly with clients to understand their objectives and present results.

You won’t be designing anything (we’re not looking for a UX designer) or creating search-optimised content (it’s a more consultative role).

Skills and experience we're looking for

  • Experience in a similar role, probably in an agency context but not necessarily.

  • Strong understanding of either search engine optimisation or usability testing (both would be ideal, but we can provide support if you’re stronger in one area than the other).

  • Excellent organisation and time management skills.

  • Able to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.

  • Able to work independently, managing your own time and priorities effectively.

  • An interest in arts and culture.

One Further is an equal opportunities employer and a partner in the Tech in Culture EDI Alliance. We welcome applications from people regardless of ethnicity, gender, disability, religion, orientation, or age.

You may not have done everything listed in this job description, but if you think this role feels right for you then please consider applying.
