UPDATE: This is (obviously) an old article. We’ve left it here for reference. If you want to find out more about our GA4 services go here.
Switching to Google Analytics 4
Google have announced that they’ll be ‘sunsetting’ Universal Analytics, the previous generation of Google Analytics, on July 1, 2023. If you report on website analytics you’ll want to move over to the newer Google Analytics 4 as soon as possible.
A quick timeline:
July 1, 2023: Universal Analytics will no longer process new data from your website
Early 2024: Google have promised that you’ll be able to access your historical Universal Analytics data for at least a further six months
The future: At a date which has not been specified, you will no longer be able to access any of your Universal Analytics data
We’ve worked with GA4 since it was introduced in 2020. We’ve worked with long-standing clients like the British Museum, Royal Museums Greenwich, Tate, and the Victoria & Albert Museum to get them ready for the switchover.
On the performing arts front, we’ve helped BH Live, Bush Theatre, La Boite Theatre, MAST Southampton, Royal College of Music, Royal Court Theatre, and others. We’ve worked with ticketing systems like Spektrix, Tessitura and Ticketsolve.
